Kreativitenet is a yarn shop in the heart of Ulsteinvik in Møre & Romsdal. Owner and general manager Silje Mari Wammer has run the traditional shop since 2019. After having physical clip cards for customers for a few years, they started with Diller in 2023 to digitize and simplify their customer program.

Why did you start with the customer program?

We started with a customer club to keep up with the market a little better. We had paper bonus cards before that, but when you run a loyalty program manually, there are many limitations. A digital system means, among other things, that people don't have to remember to carry their card with them. The less customers have to remember, the easier it is to use. We see that we compete better in the market by offering good membership benefits.

How have you set up your loyalty program?

We have a points system where you get 50 kroner back for every 1000 kroner you spend, and it works very well. We see that people are more likely to come back to us, either to the store or the online store.

“We also give all members a birthday coupon, which is greatly appreciated by customers. In addition, we have a welcome gift, where new members receive a 10% discount on an entire purchase.”

We haven't had many other types of campaigns so far, but we want to look into it in the future. With Diller we can talk directly to customers via email and SMS, but we don't want to push them too much either.

How do you recruit new members?

We always ask at the checkout when they shop, and we also have a poster at the checkout. 99% say yes!

“It was very easy to train employees to use the system, because Diller is fully integrated with our cash register system, Shoplabs.”

How did you hear about Diller?

It was through our checkout supplier Shoplabs – Ole Marius and Ulrik. We had heard about Diller before and had thought about looking into it, but it was Shoplabs that made us make the decision.

« The collaboration with Diller works very well. We get all the help we need. The system works very well in that I can easily get an overview of purchases, history and such on the screen, for example who are top customers. »

How important is it that Diller is integrated into the checkout?

It's very important. A customer doesn't have much patience when they're at the checkout. If we were to use a different tool than the checkout, it would take much longer. It works completely seamlessly. We just ask the customer for their mobile number, and then we register the purchase, so that it builds bonuses, or we add them as new members.

What do you see for yourselves in the future?

We will have a greater focus on promotions, so that we can, for example, reward top customers. The goal is that when we ask customers in the store if they are a member, everyone will say YES.
